Céline Dion Makes Her Comeback To Music With “Dansons”

International star and latest PARLOUR cover star, Céline Dion makes an iconic comeback with Dansons, her first new original song in years.

“Dansons” is a special reunion song written by famous songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman. It marks Céline’s return to French music, which was important in the start of her career. Jean-Jacques and Céline have worked together many times, especially on the 1995 album “D’eux,” which is the best-selling French album ever, with Jean-Jacques as the main songwriter. Their most recent work together was the 2016 song “Encore un soir.”

“Dansons” embodies the grace, hope, and emotional richness that characterize both Celine and Jean-Jacques, while expressing a bold resistance to doubt and honouring the happiness found in musical togetherness. “It was 2020, the world stopped and people danced, confined to their homes. Six years later, no more virus but no need to change a word, the world is no better, and we are still dancing ‘above the abyss,'” Goldman shared on the release.

Accompanying the new track is a lyric video, beautifully filmed on the charming streets of Paris by Maxime Allouche.

The launch of “Dansons” coincides seamlessly with Celine’s much-awaited comeback to live performances, an impressive five-week residency at Paris La Défense Arena. A total of sixteen shows are scheduled from September through October 2026, marking an exhilarating new phase in her journey.
